Before recommending any lens, we measure what you actually need. Optometric eye exam from $25, about 20 minutes, at either of our two stores.
It is the evaluation an optometrist does to find out how you see and which prescription you need. From it we decide whether you need lenses, which ones, and for what: screens, driving, reading or everyday use.
At SOI Ópticas eye health comes first: lenses are recommended strictly for your health. And if what you need is a medical doctor, the ophthalmology consultation is at our Estadio store.

We show you lens options, compared and explained. You choose the frame for your taste and budget, with no pressure.
We accept prescriptions from ophthalmologists, optometrists, health centers and hospitals. Bring it to either store and we'll validate it before making your lenses.
We recommend an eye exam once a year, to make sure your prescription is still right. For children, the first full evaluation is between 6 and 12 months of age, with checks at 3 years old and before starting school.

At SOI Ópticas the optometric exam starts at $25, depending on the type of exam. An ophthalmology consultation is $50 and is only available at the Estadio store.
It isn't required, but we recommend booking to avoid waiting. The ophthalmology consultation does require an appointment.
At the Centro store, Gustavo Sánchez, optometrist and contact lens specialist. Optometrists María Fernanda Sánchez and Augusto Real also see patients at both stores.
Yes. We have specialists for pediatric eye exams. We recommend the first full evaluation between 6 and 12 months of age.
An optometrist does the eye exam, determines your prescription and recommends lenses. An ophthalmologist is a medical doctor specialized in eye health who diagnoses and treats eye disease and can perform medical or surgical procedures.
